Welcome to Astor Place Montessori, where we are proud to bring the principles of the Montessori Method into a warm and nurturing family child care setting in Jersey City. Our program offers infants and toddlers a calm, thoughtfully prepared environment where they are respected as capable, curious learners. By combining the close, family-centered atmosphere of home-based care with the intentional practices of Montessori education, we create a space where young children can explore, develop independence, have plenty of opportunity for outdoor play, and build strong social and emotional foundations during their earliest and most important years. 🌱

At Astor Place Montessori, we provide a calm, nurturing environment where infants and toddlers can grow, explore, and thrive. As a registered home daycare guided by the Montessori Method, we offer high-quality care in a setting that feels safe, warm, and personal for young children.​ Our small, home-based program allows children to transition comfortably into the environment. The intimate setting helps reduce overstimulation often found in larger childcare centers, enabling infants and toddlers to build trusting relationships and engage confidently in their daily activities.
